For those unfamiliar with the club,
Rowrbrazzle is an
APA (amateur press association) featuring
funny animal (anthropomorphic) art and stories by its members.
It has been around for many years. I have been a member three times, myself... I haven't maintained a continuous membership because of the contribution requirements (every member must contribute at least 2 pages every other issue, if I remember correctly). The first two times I quit because my workload at school (first at UW and later at WSU) was preventing me from producing sufficient quality art.
The third and final time I quit because I felt that it had lost its sense of community, and was no longer providing a benefit to the members.
Like all clubs, though, the membership is always changing... perhaps the character of the club has returned its original youthful enthusiasm and mutual support that I remember from the mid-80s.
I'm not in a position to say one way or another, but cartoonists wanting more information should contact William Haskell (Uncle Bogus here in the forum) or any other current member.
