Same here, Happy Easter.  We can imagine SnowBuni makes a swell Easter Bunny! Cheesy Kiss

Things with me have been quite busy for me this weekend.  I regret to say I was unable to squeeze any time to draw any Easter art, sorry. Sad  Besides, I had to go visit relatives for the Polish Easter brunch.  Maybe next year it ought to be easier if an Easter weekend will be in April rather. Wink

...I regret that I did not find time to contribute some Easter artwork this year.  I was busy hosting family, for a rather impromptu family gathering during the weekend.

My younger brother brought over his collection of AirSoft pellet guns, and we peppered each other (and the whole house) during frequent indoor gun battles.  I think the guys just about drove the ladies crazy... they can't imagine why we're having so much fun shooting each other.

Happy Easter 2006, everybody!  I don't have new artwork for Easter, as I was busy with other projects... so I thought I'd post some of my earlier Easter pinups.

From 2002, here's SnowBuni decorating an ALIEN egg, from the blockbuster horror s-f franchise from 20th Century Fox (from an idea by cartoonist Dave Lind).

For a giant (and deadly) Easter egg, why not decorate a live dinosaur egg (time machine or high-end genetics facility required).  Originally published in 2003.

My wife loves chocolate (which is the source of SnowBuni's fascination with same), so I never fail to buy her a chocolate Easter Bunny for the holiday.  I was intrigued by the packaging artwork on the side of this "Peter B Goode" bunny... not a bunnygirl, but another example of a "comic hero" bunny protagonist in the tradition of legendary Bugs Bunny (from Warner Bros. studios).

The box sides depict the Easter Bunny as he delivers the holiday treats; through the log, up the cliff, over the river, past the hungry bear, rechecking his coordinates, and then arriving at the delivery address (which is partially obscured by the product bar code).

There is no signature for this corporate artwork, but I'm impressed with this anonymous artist's talent.

......

...so am I geek, or what?  I find packaging artwork fascinating.

...got a last-minute Easter card from Houston cartoonist William E Haskell, featuring a hypothetical mission by a Sylvalagi agent in deep cover.  I would guess that the girl is the live-action counterpart to Warner Bros.' Elmyra Duff.  "I'm going to love him and hug him and squeeze him..."

...I should also include this pinup from Canadian cartoonist Jamie Malecki, reprinted from Art a la Jalecki/Malecki, featuring SnowBuni in a totally different house style... maybe "Sylvalagi Babies?"  Let's hope it's a bad April Fool's Day joke...

...thought I might share this bunnygirl boxart from the second chocolate bunny that I had purchased for my wife during this long Easter retail season.

"Diva Da' Bunny" features a very cute chibi-style bunny gala event, in the style of Hollywood's Oscar Ceremonies.

IIRC, it was oddball artist Andy Warhol who once observed that corporate advertising art was often the ultimate in popular art; it was carefully crafted, and designed to appeal to the widest possible audience... if "Diva Da' Bunny" had appeared in an online artistic community like DevART, it would quickly gather many "favorite" picks.

My wife liked "Diva" since this was the largest chocolate bunny I had ever purchased for her.
Cool

...I didn't realize it at first, but cartoonist Haskell's Easter card was actually two pages.

...

...the second panel reveals that it was a virtual reality sim, but Geralderson really has been "caught."

BTW I thought I'd mention that if I were to write a story based on the boxart, my villain would be a film critic (a large snake with a suit jacket and tie) who crashes the backstage dressing room and proceeds to eat the bunnies.  Perhaps Diva could be the bunnygirl who successfully escapes the creature's attentions, and gets the carnivorous critter bagged and tossed down the laundry chute.

Does it say something about me, that I would even imagine such a scenario?
