...got a new pinup contibution... this time by cartoonist Dave Waller.

In a way, it's a tragedy.... that kittigirl looks so happy, but she's about to get an attitude adjustment.
Shocked

All's fair in love, and snowball fights.

...well, I seem to have had a meltdown with my primary computer, which had the latest PhotoShop/ImageReady package installed. So, right now I'm limited to my little ImageReady 1.0 program installed on my secondary computer. Sadly, the layers functionality in this version is extremely limited, and lacks many of the effects that I've been using with the watermark.

So, I'm posting bareback versions of all the Winter Vacation contest entries to date.  I'll modify them to include the contest identifier when I get my primary computer back online.
Cry

EDIT:  Back online!  All good now.

Canadian cartoonist Jamie Malecki presents SnowBuni having a little cross-country skiing fun.  A little cold weather doesn't slow down this bunnygirl.

Hello,

Are you going to enter the contest Jeff?  At least just for fun like you always do each and every year.  I actually look forward to that.

...well, I have missed a few contests.  Usually because I spend so much time administrating the event, I don't have time to produce my own art contribution.

Speaking of which, I had planned to finish 2 projects when I announced this contest.  I was going to (1) reformat the SnowBuni site with PHP and XML, and (2) finish my "Monster SnowMobile" pinup with which I've been tinkering for 2 years now.  I had plenty of time to do both.  Or so I thought.

But first, I had to get some mechanical repair done to my truck.  This cost me almost $1,000.  Ouch.  But I can handle it.

Then I got rear-ended at a stoplight.  Now I need body repair.  And a new back bumper.  And I'm spending a lot of time on the phone with various insurance companies, estimators, and repair shops.

I get sick.  I stay home in bed for five days straight.  I tell my wife I must have breakbone fever, or West Nile virus, or some other dread disease, 'cuz I hurt so bad.  She tells me I have the flu.  The doctor confirms it, and gives me prescriptions for four different medications.

I go back to work.  My company is on strike, and picket lines surround the building, as well as angry picketers.  I go home.

And then the volcano erupted.  Literally.  The ash cloud from Mt St Helens went to 30,000 feet, but fortunately it went East instead of South.

Ever have one of those weeks?

In spite of this, I'm not too far behind on my website redesign... I expect to have a major update posted this week.  The content is much the same, but the navigation should be easier.

And I've made progress on my "Winter Vacation" pinup, too.  I will be posting mine late, but since I'm not eligible for prizes, no big deal.

Tomorrow (as I type this) is the last day for entries!  Artists, burn the midnight oil and makes those pencils smoke!

Thanks, Jamie. My original concept just wouldn't work as a pin-up, so I came up with this at the spur of the moment. I always like to do something different. Smiley

Hey, I remember one winter when we had snow in Dallas...!  It lasted for about... hmmm... three hours or so.  Next day it was about 85 F again.

Well, I love real winters...but Texas winters are just plain depressing.

Just like you said, Jeff, snow one day, 80º the next.  Roll Eyes
