That Robot Santa can't be serious if he tries to be the Santa of the 21st Century! Shocked Roll Eyes  He's even proven himself how he sings Christmas carols, not just loud, but out of key.  Santa ought to fill his stocking with BOTH coal and rotten tomatoes. Grin

On the other hand, Robot Santa is better a dancer, as he duets with SnowBuni. Smiley

Robot Santa has good intentions, but he usually fails during delivery.  But, I decided to be nice to R. Santa in 2001, as it was such a wretched year overall.

Thinking about what I should do with my Christmas pinup this year, hmmm....

...and like most inept people, R. Santa doesn't even realize that he's being very annoying.  We call these kind of people "oblivions," for their inattention to the world around them.
Wink

...but he's not as bad as, say, Jar Jar Binks.

...undated Christmas card, probably 1992 or thereabouts.

..the idea was that "elves" are a fantasy creature... but so are ogres, trolls, golems, and whatnot.  Why should Santa's factory be limited to a single magical species?

Of course, one wonders what a Christmas Balrog, Nyad, or Dementor might look like...

Hello,

Jinkies, I would not mind having Snowi pop out on me like that, well at least after I recovered from the shock of it all.  but I think I would rather see the other one instead.

...I see that popular horror author Dean Koontz has published a "children's book" with the title, "Robot Santa."  Obviously he is copying my brilliant concept, and I should sue him for a million bazillion dollars for copyright infringement... but I'd settle for a free beer.

Robot Santa

Quite frankly, having read Koontz's version of Robot Santa (while standing in the book section of the local Fred Meyer grocery store), I'm fairly certain that I could have done a lot more with the character.

Futurama has also had a robot Santa, who thinks everybody is bad and should therefore be terminated.  They celebrate their Christmas by retreating into armored strongholds and the air defense tries to shoot him down.

However, the funniest part of the episode is the brief appearance of the Kwanza bot, who spends all of his time distributing books titled, "What the heck is Kwanza?"

...!

I had forgotten this robotic Santa, although I remember that I had seen this episode of "Futurama" some time ago.  What's not to love about a jet-powered Santa who launches missiles at everyone?  Ho, ho, ho... DIE!

Generally, though, I'm not a "Futurama" fan, which is odd.  I usually love programs with robots & spaceships, but I'm making an exception for this show. I find none of the usual cast of characters sympathetic or appealing.

...although I have to admit a certain grudging fondness for Bender, the cynical robot.
