This cosplay character is the female variant of "Doctor Octupus," with tentacles made from beer cans duct-taped together.

This cosplay actor had the most advanced technical costume I've ever seen... all the electronic displays, gauges, and lights on the backpack were fully functional.  It was at least as good as the Ghostbusters equipment as seen in the 1984 movie by Columbia Pictures.

The lady on the left had the neatest Star Wars T-shirt I had ever seen... it depicts the classic "Princess Lea" from the 1977 movie, but she's drawn in an anime style (with the big eyes, wild hair, etc).  Apparently it was a promotional item at the last San Diego Comic Con.

This young lady toured the convention floor with an excellent cosplay outfit of Grr, the defective robot from Nickelodeon's cult classic cartoon series, Invader Zim.  She posed with the kids, danced, danced, and danced some more, while hordes of paparazzi followed her every move.  Finally, she shrugged and remarked, "I need my own damn booth!"

...a very amusing jacket, featuring an Imperial stormtrooper helmet (from the Star Wars movie franchise by 20th Century Fox) in the traditional Skull & Crossbones pirate motif.

Seattle Goths.  The Marilyn Manson style seemed to be very popular with many of the locals.

...maybe I shouldn't notice, but the goth kittigirl on the right had a rack that made even SnowBuni look small by comparison.

Seattle grunge style.  I noticed that many young ladies wore platform shoes with 6 to 8 inches of heel.

...Seattle goth cartoonist Omar Remoquillo (left, in the Invader Zim T-shirt).  Apparently Omar has been a SnowBuni fan for many years, and has even sent SnowBuni fan art to MU Press... but I've never seen it.  I need to speak to publisher Edd Vick about that.
Angry  Wink

Cartoonist Omar met me on the first day of the convention... and then brought fan art for me on the second day, having produced a pinup at The Mercury.  This is probably the only SnowBuni art ever created at a nightclub.

T-shirt booth babe.

I walked over to get her photo at the end of the show, and noticed a wallet lying open on one of her T-shirt tables.  I let her know that one of her customers had left her a "tip," but fortunately she knew the person who had lost their wallet.

Cartoonist Stevie Van Bronkhorst, who sat next to Kelly and I during the entire convention.  Not only was she a cutie, but she also helped us bag comics, fold pages, and collate fanzines for sale.  What a neat person.
Kiss

She's wearing a set of 1940's style aviator goggles, which were quite common at the convention.

Stevie's work can be found at:

EDIT:  During the convention, cartoonist Bronkhorst asked for help with a slide rule.  I was mortified to admit that I didn't know how to use it; I feel like less of a mechanical engineer now.  I'll have to surrender my geek credentials.

Hello,

I found her, right there in the middle, I found SnowBuni, gee I wonder does this mean I get some type of reward from her for finding her...

Jinkies, I wonder what the other one would say to me.

...I've already given a shout-out to our right-side next-door neighbor at the con, Stevie Van Bronkhorst, so I thought I'd mention the artist on the other side of us, too.  Cartoonist Jerry Minor was a good sport, and did quite a bit of business in fine art originals during the con.  He also traded a small SnowBuni sketch for some of my comic book collection:

...BTW I noticed that there is an error in the SnowBuni fanzine that I was selling during the convention.  Those of you who were present might recognize this publication, which reprinted my run of unfinished webcomics and random stuffage from my sketchbooks:

...

The panels on page 9 are out of order.  Here is the correct way it should read:

...
...
...
...

The error is minor, in that the story is still readable in the wrong order, it's just a little choppy.

I have copies left over from the con... if anyone would like one, just send me your mailing address and I'll pop one in the mail for you.
