Comments by Cartoonist Jeffrey H Wood:

  • ...this SnowBuni sketch was originally intended for the annual "Hit the Beach!" pinup contest from Radio Comix, the anthropomorphic and anime publisher based out of San Antonio, Texas. Like a lot of other projects, though, I was distracted at a critical time, and failed to complete it before the deadline.
  • I've always loved carved Tiki ghods, from the Hawaiin islands. I should do more pinups featuring these angry deities.
  • ...most "pinup books" containing goodgirl art are instantly forgettable, as they highlight cheesecake poses but fail to provide any intellectual stimulation after a brief emotional response. My solution is to provide more depth and detail... in this concept sketch, I challenged myself to tell a story (or at least suggest a narrative) with the layout.
  • Discussion.
