    • Don Chisholm - Don has a fairly strong entry, actually. What I like here is the accuracy of the transporter room setting and the red-shirt uniform. I'll have some minor quibbles about how strongly some entries adhere to the Star Trek universe elsewhere, but honestly the only quite minor one I have for this one is the non-standard armor that forms the basis of the joke. What kept this entry from placing higher was a lack of Good Girl qualities. Snowbuni's pose in the first panel could have played up the short skirt so typical of the series. The plot of the gag could have been strengthened by keeping Snowbuni as the second character in the second panel and by having a threat - like a monster of some kind or a belligerent race - show up. One more improvement might have been to make the background color more dissimilar in the two panels. Still and all, considering how quickly Don came through, this gets the contest off to a good start!
    • I present this entry the Prime Directive award for bending it so very thoroughly.

    • Don Chisholm: A heavily armed HoniBuni goes to a peaceful planet. Expressions are well done and appropriate to the scene- and how often have we seen Star Trek personnel beam down onto a peaceful planet where the situation calls for heavy personal firearms? One small nitpick - either a different girl is on the planet with HoniBuni or SnowBuni's hair is colored differently.
