- John always cracks me up. Need I say more?
- Okay, I will. Cartoonists, being visual thinkers, usually focus a bit less on the words in their creations than on the art. Sometimes the text is an afterthought. John never strikes me as that kind of artist; the words in his cartoons are always well-chosen and apt. They flow. The repetition of "I am" is funny and helps to pin down the malform's low intelligence. Internally, I 'hear' it as a cartoon voice, adding to the humor of the cartoon.
