- Judge "A" says:
Kyle takes the top honors this time. For me, this pinup is firing on all cylinders. As to the theme, we again find basketball, for which the term "March Madness" was coined. I doubt Jeff expected to find even one basketball cartoon, much less two, but both are solidly within theme. What made Kyle's a buzzer beater for me was a greater feeling for the action. You can really feel Shaddo and Snow reaching; I suppose it's only proper to see that a rabbit can leap higher. - The coloring was fine, as was the irregular border for the main panel contrasting with the tight circle of the second. Figuring ever so slightly into my calculations was that there was a second panel. I know that Jeff prefers there being two panels even if he relaxed his requirements a bit due to the shortness of the deadline. I didn't measure them, but that basketball looks about the same size as the interior circle on the inset, which is just a small, pleasant echo in the layout. I liked, too, the reduction of the background crowd to blobs, which really helped focus the action on the main characters.
- As to humor, how can a pun that bad miss!
- Ladies and gentlemen, Kyle Miller!
